About Peace Welfare

A community of volunteers fighting for a Thalassemia-free, drug-free Pakistan — one drop, one session, one life at a time.

Our Story

Peace Welfare Organization (PWO), known locally as امیدنو (Umeed-e-Nau — "New Hope"), was founded with a simple but urgent belief: most Thalassemia cases in Pakistan are completely preventable.

From a small core team in Chiniot, we now work across Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan — running awareness sessions in colleges, organizing blood camps, supporting Thalassemia & Hemophilia patients, and conducting relief drives for flood victims and needy families.

Our work is endorsed by Islamic scholars and supported by a passionate Women Wing that takes our message into communities the mainstream often misses.

Our Mission

"Thalassemia-free Pakistan, Drug-free Pakistan." We exist to prevent Thalassemia through awareness and screening, and to support those already affected.

Our Vision

A Pakistan where no child is born with a preventable genetic blood disorder, and where every community has access to health awareness.

Our Values

Compassion · Integrity · Community · Faith · Action. We believe service is the highest form of worship.

Our Mission

A Harmonious & Progressive Society

The Peace Welfare Organization is dedicated to fostering a harmonious and progressive society by addressing critical issues that impact the well-being of individuals and communities. Our primary motives include:

Health for All

We strive to promote accessible healthcare, with a special focus on raising awareness and providing support for patients suffering from Thalassemia and other chronic conditions. Our efforts aim to ensure that every individual, regardless of their socio-economic background, can access quality healthcare services.

Thalassemia-Free Pakistan

The Peace Welfare Organization is committed to eradicating Thalassemia through widespread awareness campaigns, pre-marital screenings, and support for affected families. We envision a future where no child is born with this preventable genetic disorder.

Drug-Free Pakistan

Our mission includes combating societal issues such as drug addiction and promoting a lifestyle free from harmful substances. By engaging youth in productive activities, we aim to create a healthier and more responsible generation.

Education for a Brighter Future

Recognizing education as the cornerstone of development, the Peace Organization advocates for universal education. We work to provide opportunities for underprivileged children, promote literacy programs, and emphasize the importance of equal access to quality education for all.

A Peaceful & Sustainable Environment

Environmental sustainability is at the heart of our vision. We focus on creating awareness about climate change, encouraging tree plantation drives, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility to ensure a cleaner, greener future. Through these initiatives, the Peace Organization aspires to build a society rooted in equality, compassion, and sustainable growth — paving the way for a truly peaceful Pakistan.
